BOYS WILL BE BOYS
"Boys will be boys," we all heard that one before. It's not fair that these types of gender roles are established before we even understand them. As kids, we just want to understand the world, and be free to explore. Society tells us what we can and can't do as men and women. It's not right.
I ran across this video as I was looking at one of my high school peer's facebook face. The link is down below the post. One of my friends from work is friends with her. Anyway, I ran across this video, and it gave me some inspiration for a future art project. These unfair gender roles is one of the controversial topics I try to promote in my art - hoping it'll make people ponder about these types of issues.
Hopefully by bringing aware this issue in society through art, it'll help reconstruct the minds of the general public. Then, we can make a positive change in our society, and hopefully shape the minds of future generations to accept differences in gender equality.
