TAPE FACE

OMG! I was so board last night I googled a bunch of random things on youtube, and I came across a bunch of videos about this guy.  Tape Face is a visual arts performer who performed on America's Got Talent 2016.  I thought this gut was so brilliant, so talented.

When I first saw him, I couldn't get enough of his performances.  Tape Face's act are very creative, revolutionary, and hilarious.  I couldn't stop laughing!!!  Tape Face reminded my to keep being inspired by bold and innovating art - while adding mystery and comical aspect into my own work.

Thanks Tape Face!  Your really reminded my to laugh and enjoy the art around us!!

DAMIEN HIRST

Ever since I did a report of Damien Hirst in Sculpture I class at Indiana Wesleyan University, I fell in love with his work.  He plays with life and death concepts, and sparks controversy in all of his art purposes.  Also, Hirst explored gruesome subject matter, and incorporated those aspects into his art.  With his popularity rising in the 1990s, Hirst's showmanship became legendary.  From exhibiting dead sharks in formaldehyde to making prints of dots, he continues to inspire my artwork.

Down below is a link to Damian Hirst's Home Page about his most recent work.

BOYS WILL BE BOYS

https://vimeo.com/195243729

"Boys will be boys," we all heard that one before.  It's not fair that these types of gender roles are established before we even understand them.  As kids, we just want to understand the world, and be free to explore.  Society tells us what we can and can't do as men and women.  It's not right.

I ran across this video as I was looking at one of my high school peer's facebook face.  The link is down below the post.  One of my friends from work is friends with her.  Anyway,  I ran across this video, and it gave me some inspiration for a future art project.  These unfair gender roles is one of the controversial topics I try to promote in my art - hoping it'll make people ponder about these types of issues.

Hopefully by bringing aware this issue in society through art, it'll help reconstruct the minds of the general public.  Then, we can make a positive change in our society, and hopefully shape the minds of future generations to accept differences in gender equality.
